LC17 Coat rack - Coat rack. This coat rack was originally created by Le Corbusier for the Cabanon, a vacation home on the French Riviera that he designed in 1951 as a birthday gift for his wife Yvonne. This reissue by Cassina is based on the 1957 version, which was made for the Camping Units, which were located next to the Cabanon. In keeping with the bright colors used for these minimal spaces, which recall the compact comfort of a cruise ship cabin, the coat rack was also multicolored. The base is made of oak, the hooks are mushroom-shaped and are placed at different heights, according to the criteria established in the Modulor.
