Find out more about this product
A mirror that reveals its special and unexpected touch in every environment, confusing the reflection through the original word play silk-screened on the glass. The object was created by Man Ray, the American painter, photographer and filmmaker who was one of the most radical and eclectic representatives of the Dadaist and Surrealist movements. Man Ray is most famous for his propensity for experimentation, which led to such innovative creations as the airbrush, photographic film and the misuse of everyday objects. The elliptical mirror, supported by a rigid polyurethane base, derives from a famous work by the artist, who reproduced writing on a larger surface, adapting a surrealist object to everyday use in the most surprising of ways. This piece has been mass-produced since 1971, as part of Simon's Ultramobile collection, and today as part of the Cassina SimonCollezione collection.
