Hill House 1

292 Hill House I is a chair designed by Charlees Rennie Mackintosh for Cassina, with a lattice back in ash stained black and an upholstered seat covered in exclusive velvet in green or pink. Like all the projects of the famous designer, this one is halfway between a work of art and a piece of furniture, beautiful to admire but also functional. Here Mackintosh wanted to express his mastery in a seat that is a symbol of artistic language. The skilful use of materials and design contributes to the embellishment of a historic Cassina piece.
