Ombra Tokyo

Charlotte Perriand designed the Ombra Tokyo chair in 1954 in Japan for the Synthèse des Arts exhibition. Inspired by Japanese tradition and origami, the chair is made from a single piece of plywood that takes shape through subtle folding. Reissued by Cassina, Ombra Tokyo is available in natural oak or black stained oak. It is a light and sculptural chair. It brings a touch of chic fantasy; installed in a living room corner, between a sofa and classic contemporary armchairs, it shines by its originality and its sophisticated graphics.
