Salone del Mobile 2024 : What's new at Arper

During our recent visit to the 2024 Milan Design Week, we had the pleasure of discovering the latest creations from the Arper brand. With their refined aesthetics and exceptional functionality, the new additions to the Arper range are sure to appeal to lovers of contemporary design. Here's an overview of the pieces that caught our eye :

Catifa Carta: ecological innovation

The first Arper creation to make an environmental statement, the Catifa chair gets a makeover thanks to innovative materials and a Carta collection. Its PaperShell shell, made from composite wood by-products, combines robustness and comfort, while reducing its environmental impact by sequestering CO2. Available in coffee with a range of basic options, this chair also features removable cushions for extra comfort. Catifa Carta is also fully demountable and recyclable, further reflecting Arper's commitment to sustainability.

The Lepal armchair by Doshi Levien

The Lepal lounge chair, created by design duo Doshi Levien, skilfully balances a solid shell with soft upholstery, resting on a slim, angled base. More than just a seat, it's a call to rethink rest as a source of energy and inspiration. Its elegant design offers sturdy yet lightweight support, ideal for a variety of environments. With its sculptural profile and upholstery and base options, the Lepal collection combines comfort and aesthetics while being environmentally friendly, thanks to its glue-free assembly and FSC certification.

It is the perfect complement to the Shaal sofa and Roopa coffee table by the same designers, for a bold, colourful and cosy look.

The new Kata chairs

The Kata chair, designed in 2024 by Altherr Désile Park, combines elegance and functionality with its solid oak base, four legs and adjustable glides. Its plywood shell has a striking texture and a reconstituted oak finish. Available with customisable upholstery in fabric, leather or coated fabric, it offers the option of contrasting or tone-on-tone stitching. A practical, eco-friendly detail is its removable, glue-free upholstery, making it easy to recycle and maintain. The Kata chair is perfect for any modern space, combining comfort, durability and sophisticated design.

The Semiton storage system

The Semiton collection is a flexible modular system consisting of a painted aluminium structure that supports two or three units. These units can be fitted with container modules, available in two heights (30 or 60 cm) and three types (pass-through, open, or with doors), or with tray modules, offering a choice of rectangular shapes or with a rounded side and in two different sizes. The modules can be customised in lacquered MDF or wood veneer and are predisposed for electrification, optimising cable management. All the components in the collection can be completely dismantled, encouraging the reuse and recycling of materials.
