Salone del Mobile 2024 : What's new at Magis

Every year, the Salone del Mobile in Milan is a must-attend event for discovering trends in furniture design. The 2024 edition highlighted Magis' innovations, blending craftsmanship and modernity. This article explores the striking Magis pieces unveiled at the event, reflecting the brand's signature blend of functionality and style.

Twain by Konstantin Grcic

The Twain armchair draws its inspiration from the classic Safari Chair. This elegant, functional and ecological armchair combines wood, leather and fabric. Its main structure consists of a solid beech frame, with tapering uprights and crosspieces joined by a ratchet strap. The armrests are in leather. The chair includes a self-supporting seat cushion and backrest, plus a removable seat cushion and backrest cover, complemented by a footrest made along the same lines.

Tacito by Alessandro Stabile

Tacito is a series of five storage units for living rooms, kitchens and offices. The collection uses fabric-covered central hinges made from recycled polyester. The design provides acoustic insulation and magnetic closure for the doors, which are fitted with handles that make them easy to open.

Riace by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

Riace is a sofa that harmoniously combines dynamism and sculpture, inspired by the beauty of the eponymous city. With its white bronze structure, it creates the illusion that its upholstered seat and back are suspended. Introduced in 2022, Riace is now available in a reduced version, 220 cm wide.

Coves by Guglielmo Poletti

The Coves collection combines traditional craftsmanship and modern design in timeless mirrors. Inspired by classic cornices, these mirrors with shelves combine elegance and functionality. Made in Nove, they are available in three sizes and colours with a high-gloss finish, each piece being finished by hand. The design allows them to be assembled without glue, making them easy to recycle.

Magis' presence at the Salone del Mobile 2024 confirms its role as a leader in contemporary furniture design. The new collections, such as Twain and Tacito, illustrate how design can enrich our daily lives by combining aesthetics and practicality. Magis continues to push the boundaries of design, offering pieces that are not just functional but truly inspiring.
