"For years, Verner Panton has been looking for a manufacturer to make his one-piece injected plastic chair. The first contacts were made with Vitra in 1963, they led to the joint development of the Panton Chair presented in 1967. It caused a sensation and was awarded numerous prizes. It is the original version with its glossy lacquer finish, marketed until today, which bears the name Panton Chair Classic.
