Develius Configuration D | 3-seater sofa

Over three decades, designer Edward van Vliet has developed a world of his own, a style characterised by great attention to every detail of his furniture and the interiors in which it is placed. Everything is subject to a "total experience".

In seeking to design an elegant, sculptural modular sofa, the designer wanted to create a "comfortable paradise", as he likes to say. The result is sixteen different modular elements, ranging in size and shape from rectangular to square. There's even a footstool to place on either side or in a corner, which can also be used as an informal side table. With the option of free cushions, you can decorate Develius to your heart's content.

"I like the fact that you can add an extra layer - an emotional layer. Different cushions, different sizes, different fabrics, different colours and different plaids. It's easy to play with and personalise it according to how you feel or how you want others to feel when they use it.

This configuration, Develius Configuration D, includes the EV1A, EV1C and EV1B modules, with a seat depth of 64cm and low 60cm armrests for a relaxed look. It includes metal brackets for connecting modules. This Develius Configuration D sofa is flexible and elegant, whatever your choice of upholstery.

Ideal for private residences, high-end hotels, restaurants or VIP venues, you can create a wide range of seating, from intimate to more open and inviting. Whether you choose a monotone colour palette or a mix of tones and fabrics, the look is always luxurious and personal.

The intuitive Develius system offers elements ranging from a footstool to a 1-6 seater sofa, corner sofa and chaise longue, all available in two seat depths [ EV1 series modules 64cm or EV2 series modules 85cm ]. It is also possible to choose modules offering a low armrest [ 60cm ] informal or a high armrest [ 70cm ] more formal.

Production process:
The frame is made of wood and anti-flexion springs are installed in the seat. All surfaces are upholstered in HR foam and polyester wadding.
