"The thin, diagonally open metal legs of Jean Prouvé's Compas Direction table are reminiscent of the opening of the branches of a compass. Their design is based on the constructional principles typical of the structural approach of the French designer and engineer. Together with the oiled solid wood tabletop, they form a contrasting material mix in the home office.
Table top: oiled solid wood; natural oak, smoked oak or American walnut.
Legs: Folded sheet steel, powder-coated (smooth).
Wood origin: oak (Quercus robur) from Western Europe and/or Poland; American walnut (Juglans nigra) from the United States".
