About the wood:
Jatoba is a wood with exceptional qualities. Its durability and stability make it particularly suitable for the long and narrow slats that characterise the entire Extempore range. After intensive cooperation with various bodies such as universities and nature and wildlife conservation organisations, Jatoba hardwood has proven to be the most stable and durable wood available in large quantities. Initially, the red colour of the Jatoba elements may bleed whenever they are exposed to water. As with other wood species, Jatoba will tend to slowly grey and become rougher under the effect of sun and rain. Small cracks and fissures may also occur. Extremis strongly recommends treating the wood with a wood preservative solution.
