Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is a German architect who is a naturalized American citizen. After working alongside his father, he collaborated with Bruno Paul and Peter Behrens. Architect in Berlin, he carried out several projects before leaving for the United States. There, he made his name by developing an approach aimed at harmonizing the interior and exterior of buildings. His work can be found in Chicago and around the world.
