James Irvine

Designer

James Irvine, a British designer born in 1958 in London, studied real estate design at Kingston Polytechnic Design School and then at the Royal College of Art, and in 1988 left for a year to work in Toshiba's design department in Japan. Back in 1989, he opened his own studio in Milan. Author of best-selling designs, particularly in the Thonet house, with the A66O chair and the S 5000 sofa, he was in constant search of the perfect balance between traditional know-how and advanced techniques.
