Dorothee Becker

Dorothee Becker, born in 1938 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, studied languages at the universities of Frankfurt and Munich, before spending time in London and Paris and moving to California in 1960. She returned to Germany with her husband Ingo Maurer, successfully launched Uten.Silo in 1989, which is still home to practical, well-designed everyday objects, and continued to create until her death in 2023.
