Alessandro Mendini

Alessandro Mendini is an architect of Italian origin and designer member of the Radical Design movement, having played a major role in influencing Italian design. He founded the first international school of fashion, management and design, "Global Tools".

Collaborating with many designers, he works, in parallel with his creative activity, within the architecture magazine Casabella. Artistic director of Swatch, consultant at Swarovski and Philips, he received numerous awards including a golden compass, and was decorated as a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in France. Nowadays, he continues his activity within the Atelier Mendini, which he created with his brother in Milan in 1989.
