The FRANCIS wall mirror is the result of an experiment on pigments. The sliding of colours around the edges evokes the oxidation of old mirrors or the pigments of a make-up palette. This empirical drawing, with its bright and deep colours, is faithfully reproduced on the background of the mirror. The back of the mirror, in a slight spinning top shape, is suspended by a cord from the centre and tilted like some Venetian mirrors.
