Tomoshi Portable | Lampe Nomade is a creation by Oki Sato, founder of nendo, in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. Its name, inspired by the Japanese word for ‘light’, embodies the idea of a luminous, warm and intimate companion that can be taken anywhere.
The Tomoshi's design subtly fuses Japanese and Danish minimalism, offering clean lines and a refined aesthetic. It offers a 360° lighting experience, gently illuminating the surface and its surroundings, with a subtle upward emission of light to create a fluid transition between light and shadow. The control knob makes it easy to switch between two dimming modes: stepless or stepped.
Designed to last, the Tomoshi features replaceable components such as the leather strap, LED unit and rechargeable batteries. Unlike many portable lights, it has this option, so there's no waste. Its genuine leather strap adds a premium touch, with a matt finish to match the body of the lamp. This semi-aniline leather is durable and stain-resistant, and will develop a unique patina over time. The brown version of the Tomoshi has a dark leather strap, while the white version has a light-coloured strap.
