Pao Glass Pendant /350

The Pao lamp collection is an exciting collaboration with established Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Named after the soft, glowing shape of the traditional Mongolian Pao tents illuminated at night, Fukasawa wanted to encapsulate the same atmospheric warmth and friendliness in the Pao glass suspension. Pao is inspired by Fukasawa's aesthetic of beautiful simplicity; creating an everyday object that draws on the design values found in the natural world. By keeping the aesthetics modest and simple, he brings the design into harmony with its surroundings, reinforcing his original intention of making the atmosphere pleasant and comfortable. In the Pao glass pendant, Fukasawa developed a custom LED light source and diffuser, which are nestled in the opal glass shade, providing a functional light output, while allowing for a warm and cozy glow.
