Verner Panton created Panthella in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in 1971. Today, Panthella is recognised as one of Panton's most important design icons with its recognisable organic form.

The Panthella 250 portable lamp features a translucent white opal shade that diffuses ambient light, while directing some of the glare-free light downwards onto the trumpet-shaped base, which is designed to reflect some of the light upwards.
