Eames Plastic Side Chair | DSS Seat upholstered

Several versions of the robust Plastic Chairs by Charles and Ray Eames are particularly well suited to public spaces and communities: the DSS model (Dining Height Side Chair Stacking Base) can be stacked and linked into rows using attachment elements. The seats can also be fitted with optional row numbering elements and individual number plates.

The seat shell, made from 100% recyclable recycled RE polypropylene, is complemented here by a fully upholstered seat: a fully upholstered interior made from moulded polyurethane foam, covered with fabric attached to the shell with a loop. The white version (white 04) cannot be made from the new RE material and will continue to be produced in conventional polypropylene. Like the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Side chair RE, the white version is 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Due to the composition of the RE recycled material, the colours of the RE polypropylene seat shell may show very subtle pigment stains.

Frame: chrome-plated tubular steel frame, DSS with row linking element. Stackable and combinable without upholstery. (DSS = Dining Height Side Chair Stacking Base). Stacking: 5 seats on the floor, 6 seats on an optional stacking trolley (art. 442 028 00).
