The initiative is the result of a creative collaboration between Mette Hay, co-founder of the brand, and her long-time friend Barbara Maj Husted Werner, a leading fashion figure and owner of the Holly Golightly boutique in Copenhagen.

It was during these moments of relaxation that they came up with the idea of creating accessories that not only met the dogs' everyday needs but also invited their owners to explore the aesthetic world of HAY.

Design for all dogs

Aware of the diversity of dogs in terms of size, breed and personality, Mette Hay and Barbara Maj Husted Werner ensured that the collection offered something for every dog. "It was important that the colours were suitable for all types of dog," explains Ms Werner. This inclusivity is reflected in the variety of items on offer, from soft beds to attractive toys, all characterised by HAY's typical bright colours and block patterns.

A Fresh Look at Dog Accessories

Available from 15 February 2024, the collection offers dog accessories in three different sizes and a colour range that includes vibrant shades such as purple, blue and red, as well as neutrals such as white and beige. Mette Hay highlights the brand's innovative approach: "Pet products are often very neutral... but I liked the idea of them adding a splash of colour rather than being purely utilitarian."
