Torche | Wall lamp

Torche was born from the idea of transforming an ancestral gesture – that of carrying a torch, a symbol of shared and mobile light – into a contemporary, essential and refined presence. Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Foscarini, it interprets simplicity as an exercise in subtraction: nothing is superfluous.

Its compact silhouette evokes a softened cone, slightly detached from the wall at the top. This subtle separation allows the light to diffuse freely upwards while concealing the source for optimal visual comfort. Discreet yet expressive, Torche becomes an elegant sign on the wall.

The light output is twofold: wide and diffuse upwards, more concentrated and intimate downwards. This combination creates enveloping lighting that is ideal for corridors, passageways, relaxation areas or bedrooms. The white interior surface optimises reflection, while the upper opening promotes diffusion and amplifies the overall brightness.

Made of die-cast aluminium, Torche has a velvety matt finish that reveals the materiality of the metal. Available in three colours – titanium, graphite or copper – it fits as naturally into a contemporary interior as it does into a classic one.

Compact and architectural, Torche interprets light as a structural element, combining technical performance and decorative impact with controlled elegance.
