The Nelson Bubble series of suspended lamps, designed by George Nelson in 1947, is made up of various spherical silhouettes inspired by Swedish silk-covered lamps.
Their internal steel wire structure is covered with a translucent plastic polymer, providing both opaque and transparent light diffusion. Available in a range of shapes - Ball, Pear, Apple, Cigar, Saucer, Lantern and Propeller - the lamps appear to float delicately in space, creating a soft, atmospheric light.
Made from woven polymer, brushed metal and nickel, with white PVC insulation.
