The Narì outdoor armchair, designed by Andrea Pedrali as a tribute to his grandfather, company founder Mario Pedrali, who celebrates his 60th birthday in 2023, is a work that draws on the deep roots of the Pedrali collection from the 1960s, while transcending them with a contemporary vision.
The chair features a solid, finely crafted steel frame wrapped in an extruded PVC braid, with a nylon core that tenderly surrounds the armrests and backrest. Each strand of cord intertwines, tightening gently towards the bottom of the seat, then widening gracefully towards the top, evoking the geometry of a fan, a subtle reminiscence of the Serenella armchair.
The Narì seat and back offer ultimate comfort thanks to a polyurethane foam cushion. The cushion is made up of two sections, delicately zipped together, resting harmoniously on a seat with steel slats. Every moment spent in this armchair is a caress for body and soul.
The legs of the Narì armchair have a sober, pure elegance, characterised by a double steel tube. They support the whole with a stability and grace that give it a majestic presence.
The Narì armchair, presented for the first time at the 61st Salone del Mobile.Milano, has been selected by the ADI Design Index to compete for the Targa Giovani, to be awarded in 2024. The Targa Giovani, or Youth Section, is a category of the ADI Compasso d'Oro Award dedicated to projects by design students, such as thesis projects or laboratory exercises.
