The E8 table, named after the London home of designer Mathias Hahn, embodies simplicity, finesse and originality. Inspired by a makeshift post-war table that had long sat in his home, it is distinguished by its unique design, featuring delicately protruding ends, offering versatility of use.

This solid oak version of the E8 table gives you the opportunity to personalise your table, choosing from 11 stains that can be applied to the base and underside of the tabletop or to the entire table.

The complex staining technique gives a semi-transparent appearance, allowing the natural texture and depth of the wood to remain visible. Surface treatment requires manual dexterity and cannot be automated: a special staining technique is applied in several stages. Because the microstructure of the wood surface is not smooth but brushed, stained wood naturally has a matt appearance despite its colouring. To fix the colour, the stain is finally given a matt lacquer finish.
