The portable Dipping Light is battery-powered, so there's no need for a cable. It has a switch at the base and, like the other Marset portable lights, a dimmer that lets you adjust the brightness to one of three levels. Small but important changes that make it completely mobile.
In addition to its function as a lamp, the Dipping Light aims to move people. When it is switched on, its different shades of paint subdue the light, creating a magical ambience. When it's off, its sphere of coloured glass is an object charged with beauty, an eye-catching piece of design for a shelf, bedside or table.
Jordi Canudas is an alchemist of light. He experiments with it, always seeking to be surprised by it and to learn from it. He wants to capture the essence of light. With this in mind, he created Dipping Light, another experiment in which a light bulb is dipped several times in paint, resulting in this table lamp.
The different layers of paint form concentric circles and capture the light while moderating its intensity. The paint becomes the lampshade, colouring and texturing the light. A brass or graphite base is added for support. This artisanal process will make each lamp a unique and exclusive creation.
