HAY: New Outdoor products for 2024

HAY, the iconic Scandinavian design brand, continues to impress with its latest outdoor novelties, which combine sleek aesthetics, durability, and comfort. Born from fruitful collaborations and innovative ideas, these creations bring an undeniable freshness to any outdoor space.

The Ceramic Table, resulting from a successful collaboration with Muller Van Severen, stands out with its minimalist expression characteristic of the Belgian designers, coupled with bold use of color. With a porcelain top resting on a concrete base, it harmoniously blends strong proportions with a solid color presence. Its simplicity and intuitive design make it universally appealing, suitable for a variety of spaces. Rolf Hay, co-founder of HAY, emphasizes its universality: "No matter what chair you place around it, they all work perfectly."

The Type Chair, designed for HAY by Danish designer and long-time collaborator Jonas Trampedach, derives its name and aesthetics from the perception of an archetypal chair. With a distinctively shaped back, it offers a uniform sculptural expression that reinforces its familiar character. Made of aluminum, a durable material, this lightweight and stackable chair easily blends into most indoor and outdoor spaces. Rolf Hay values its lightness, essential for outdoor furniture that often needs to be moved.

The Crate collection, relaunched in collaboration with Rietveld Originals, enriches this season with several new additions (including a sofa, a bench, and a dining table) that preserve Gerrit Rietveld's innovative spirit. Initially designed in 1934 from surplus wooden crates, this series is distinguished by its functional and balanced design, created to minimize production costs while maximizing functionality.

Finally, the Palissade collection is enhanced with the Soft Quilted Cushion, adding comfort and functionality to the range's chairs and benches. Made with water-resistant fabric, the cushion features an anti-slip backing and is filled with soft, thick padding. Available in four colors, it has high UV resistance, maintaining its color.
