BELVEDERE is the new chair designed by Ludovica Serafini & Roberto Palomba, whose name is inspired by the Belvedere Palace in Vienna, an iconic location that preserves the traditions and treasures of Austrian culture. This reference has given rise to a striking piece that combines the art of Viennese chairs, historic Viennese cane work and Kartell's industrial expertise in exploring innovative materials.
Traditional cane work is highlighted on a remarkably lightweight carbon fibre structure. Although these materials seem to be opposites, they come together here to create a unique contemporary language, where artisanal heritage meets advanced technology.
This encounter between two worlds gives life to a project of elegant rigour, far from any nostalgia: a transversal, peaceful and forward-looking aesthetic that reinterprets Viennese elegance in a resolutely modern vision.
