PH 5 – The timeless icon by Poul Henningsen.
Created in 1958 by Poul Henningsen, the PH 5 pendant light was born of a simple desire: to design a light capable of adapting to all light sources, whatever their shape or intensity. Faithful to the three-shade system developed by Henningsen, this model guarantees a soft, pleasant and totally glare-free light, ideal especially above a dining room table.
Designed to soften the light and provide optimal visual comfort, the PH 5 was originally fitted with coloured details (red and blue) to correct the colour temperature of the incandescent bulbs of the time. Today, thanks to modern LED sources, these filters are no longer necessary, while retaining the original spirit of the design.
Available in a wide range of contemporary or classic colours, the PH 5 remains one of the most iconic Danish design pendant lamps – a timeless classic, present in interiors all over the world.
