Designed in 1945 by Charles and Ray Eames, the Eames Elephant in plywood is an iconic piece of modern design. Long remaining at the prototype stage – one example of which is kept in the Eames family archives after being exhibited at MoMA in 1946 – it was only mass-produced by Vitra in 2018, following an initial limited edition in 2007.
Crafted with exceptional skill, the Eames Elephant Plywood is available in two refined finishes: dark European walnut or light chestnut. A symbol of timeless elegance and playful poetry, it embodies both the innovative spirit of the Eameses and the craftsmanship of Vitra.
