Find out more about this product

Comprised of a steel frame, plywood seat and upholstery derived from calfskin, the Vitra Eames LCM Plywood Chair is a playful and inventive take on an A-grade classic of modernist design. Originally designed in 1945, the LCM chair is amongst the longest-standing pieces in the iconic Eames catalogue of furniture, but remains hyper-contemporary due to it's timeless style and construction. Arguably at its best when employed in a lounge chair form, the plywood seat is as functional and comfortable as it is an aesthetic marvel, with the natural hues of the calfskin coating making for the ideal visual counterpoint to the chrome frame, which is a masterpiece of industrial design in it's own right. The LCM collection also includes a standard plywood chair and a version upholstered in leather.
