Originally designed in 1959, the X table illustrates the pinnacle of Hvidt & Mølgaard's work as creative collaborators.
Taken from the family archives, the table derives its unique design from the folding chairs of ancient Egypt. Based on the same principles as the X chair, for which it was originally created to complement, the X table features the same sloping frame and judicious use of the material at hand.

The table top is made from sheets of veneer pressed around a solid wood insert. It is then milled and lacquered. The stainless steel frame is powder-coated.
