The Egg™ chair, created in 1958 by Arne Jacobsen, is a monument of modern Scandinavian design.
Originally designed for the lobby and lounge of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, it marked a formal revolution: an organic, fluid silhouette that offered its user a visual and acoustic cocoon. Its handcrafted creation process – using wire and plaster in the designer's own garage – reflects Jacobsen's commitment to pushing the aesthetic and technical boundaries of his time.
Now manufactured with a moulded foam shell on a steel frame, the Egg™ offers optimal comfort, enhanced by a swivel aluminium base with an automatic return mechanism. It is available in a range of high-quality fabrics and leathers, many of which can be customised.
