Eames Plastic Side Chairs | LSR Seat upholstered

The compact Plastic Chair RE LSR was a favourite of Charles and Ray Eames: they used it throughout the Eames House, their legendary home in Pacific Palisades, as and when they needed it, particularly for chatting with their guests.

The seat shell, made from 100% recyclable recycled RE polypropylene, is here complemented by a fully upholstered seat: a fully upholstered interior made from moulded polyurethane foam, covered with fabric attached to the shell with a loop. The white version (white 04) cannot be made from the new RE material and will continue to be produced in conventional polypropylene. Like the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Side Chair RE, the white version is 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Due to the composition of the RE recycled material, the colours of the RE polypropylene seat shell may show very subtle pigment stains.
