The Dining Height Side Chair Wood Base (DSW) by Charles and Ray Eames combines an organically shaped seat shell with a four-legged wooden base. This combination of plastic and wood gives this classic design a warm look and relaxed charm.
The seat shell, made from 100% recyclable recycled RE polypropylene, is complemented here by a fully upholstered seat: a fully upholstered interior made from moulded polyurethane foam, covered with fabric attached to the shell with a loop. The white 04 version, which cannot be made from the new RE material, will continue to be produced in conventional polypropylene. Like the seat shells of the Eames Plastic Side Chair RE, the white version is 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Due to the composition of the RE recycled material, the colours of the RE polypropylene seat shell may show very subtle pigment stains.

In the same series: the DSW Eames Plastic Side Chair is available without a seat cushion (art. 440 305 00) or with a padded/upholstered seat screwed to the underside of the shell (art. 440 306 00). These two versions offer different combinations of hull and/or cladding colours.
Wood origin: ash (Fraxinus excelsior) and maple (Acer platanoides) from Western Europe and/or Poland.
