Virus is a picnic table that comes in different configurations. Dirk Wynants, designer and founder of Extremis, has developed different versions with seating for three to five people, based on a single seat frame. The powder-coated steel surfaces are easy to clean and maintain.
Just the thing to equip a room with a nice mix of tables that, while being different in size, create a nice uniformity. With its compact design, Virus also responds to the trend towards smaller living spaces and is equally at home on a balcony or in a city garden. And it can be configured to accommodate any number of people. It's all about conviviality, in the office or elsewhere! Whether indoors or outdoors, Virus tables are the perfect conversation starter.
About the materials:
ZnAlMg dipping:
Is an alternative to hot-dip galvanising and is the best choice for more detailed products that need to be coated afterwards. Due to its unique composition, ZnAlMg provides a high level of surface and sharp edge protection, even in the most demanding environments. It is produced on a conventional hot-dip galvanising line where the melt has a unique chemical composition comprising zinc, aluminium and magnesium, the perfect base layer for powder coating.
Powder coating:
Is a technique that involves applying a powder coating to a substrate. The powder is charged by an electric field and sprayed onto the object. The object is then placed in an oven. The powder particles melt and fuse to form a continuous film.
In both materials: Only opt for white powder coating if you are prepared to clean the surface regularly. After all, there's nothing worse than design furniture that isn't clean !
