Designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1953 for the Méribel ski resort in the French Alps, Tabouret Méribel reflects the designer’s interest in traditional craftsmanship and the use of solid wood.

Made entirely from wood, it is distinguished by a construction based on traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. The sculpted seat and clean lines demonstrate the search for balance between functionality, constructive simplicity and quality of execution.

Originally conceived for mountain interiors, the model naturally integrates into residential settings as well as interior design projects. Its compact proportions allow it to be used as occasional seating or as a complementary furnishing element.

With a height of 38 cm, this model is intended for low and occasional seating. Its compact proportions allow it to integrate into a variety of living spaces.
