Designed by Charlotte Perriand as part of her research into mountain dwellings, the Shepherd’s Stool reflects her interest in simple forms, natural materials and traditional craftsmanship.

Made entirely from solid wood, it is characterised by a deliberately understated design that highlights the material and the quality of the workmanship. The sculpted seat and compact proportions reflect an approach where each element serves a specific function.

Inspired by traditional seating found in Alpine regions, this model reflects Charlotte Perriand’s interest in vernacular forms and everyday uses. Its particularly low height gives it a distinctive presence within living spaces.
