The EA 217 and EA 219 are the swivel chairs from the Soft Pad Group chair family by Charles and Ray Eames.
Their unobtrusive appearance makes them particularly suitable for executive areas. The exceptional comfort of the chairs is due to the combined effect of the weight-adjustable tilt mechanism and the soft upholstery. The EA 219 model differs from the EA 217 Soft Pad Chair by having a higher backrest.
Features:
- Seat (seat and backrest): EA 217 with medium high backrest.
- Cushions: Sewn-in, upholstered with polyurethane foam, in leather or Premium leather (the latter with stitching).
- Back upholstery: In Plano fabric (always matching the chosen leather colour).
- Side profiles and tensioning brackets: In die-cast aluminium, with polished or chrome finish or dark black epoxy.
- Seat mechanism: Adjustable rear tilt, can be locked in upright position.
- Seat height: Continuously adjustable by gas spring.
- With armrests: Yes, in die-cast aluminium, with polished or chrome finish or dark black epoxy.
- Legs : Swivel, five-star base in die-cast aluminium, polished or chrome-plated or dark black powder coated.
- With castors: Yes, hard for carpeting or soft for hard floors.
- Covers for castors: In black for the polished base and black epoxy finish, in chrome finish for the chrome base.
