Inspired by childhood memories of a kitchen in Northern Europe, the Oiva chair is a subtle reinterpretation of a familiar silhouette. Created by Antti Kotilainen for Lapalma, Oiva — which means ‘something good’ in Finnish — combines classic shapes and contemporary aesthetics in a simple, light expression.
Its structure in ash and plywood from FSC-certified forests showcases sustainable, warm and recyclable wood. The wide, curved backrest, like the seat, ensures comfort and support. Stackable and lightweight, Oiva is equally at home in a living space or a communal environment, bringing a domestic touch to public places.
