The Series 7™ chair is an icon of modern furniture history, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955. Its unique form is timeless and incredibly versatile, displaying character without dominating the eye, it was launched in 1955 at the H55 International Design Exhibition in Sweden as Arne Jacobsen's response to the criticism he had received for the Ant chair.
The 3207 provided a striking response with perfectly proportioned armrests that follow the contours of the curved backrest while extending the soft lines of the back legs to create a perfectly balanced and extremely comfortable design.
It's made from 9 layers of die-cast veneer for strength, flexibility and durability despite its slender shape. This is the most popular model in the Fritz Hansen chair collection.
