This desk enhances the utility of the classic Daystak table by incorporating a drawer box, a testament to Day's ability to fuse aesthetics and functionality. The dovetail joints visible on the drawer add a touch of craftsmanship, enhancing both the beauty and structural integrity of the design. This modular pedestal can be positioned on either side of the table, adapting to the user's spatial and functional needs.
Made from high-quality materials, the Daystak desk guarantees durability and solidity. The solid beech used is FSC® certified, ensuring environmentally, socially and economically responsible forest management.
Manufacturing process:
- Structure: The solid beech frame is precision-cut by a CNC machine, guaranteeing exact dimensions and smooth edges. Components are assembled using glue and bolts with threaded inserts, enhancing durability.
- Top: The top uses a laminate approach, with an MDF core, covered in solid beech or a Nano Fenix laminate finish, depending on preference. It is cut to precise measurements and edged with solid wood, providing a robust and aesthetically pleasing surface.
- Drawers: Constructed from beech veneer and reinforced with a solid beech frame, also CNC machined, the drawers use traditional joinery techniques for robust dovetail joints, emphasising the craftsmanship involved.
