A masterpiece of organic design, the AX chair illustrates the technical audacity of the 1950s with one of the first 3D moulded plywood creations.
Designed by Hvidt & Mølgaard, it reflects the heritage of Danish cabinetmaking expertise, with armrests that rise in the same fluid gesture as the structure. Its remarkable ergonomics have earned it an exceptional reputation as one of the most comfortable wooden armchairs ever created.
Available in lacquered or dark-stained oak and walnut, it is made from FSC®-certified wood and carries the European Ecolabel, a guarantee of sustainability and responsible production.

Manufacturing process:
The sides of the chair are made from moulded oak veneer pressed around a solid walnut insert. The crossbars are turned on a lathe, while the seat, backrest and armrests are made from moulded pressed veneer.
