Find out more about this product

Anker ('anchor' in Dutch) is a compact six-seater picnic table. If you look at the legs, you can clearly see where it got its name. But that's not all. Sailors drop an anchor when they have reached a place where they want to stay. Just as anchoring makes us more aware of what matters in life. It's about disconnecting ourselves from the daily rush, about feeling at home. Do you want to create an eye-catching installation? Then combine an Anker table with the optional Inumbrina parasol.

Be creative by combining wood and steel in your favourite colours, according to your needs or your project. Anker stays put: in your garden, on the terrace of your restaurant or in the relaxation area of your company. For large terrace projects, Anker tables can be lined up in a hexagonal arrangement to fill the space with minimal loss of volume, but enough room to move around easily. For protection from the sun and to create a pleasant atmosphere, our Inumbrina hexagonal sunshades can be used to create an enclosed canopy over the Anker tables. About the woods:
Iroko is an African tropical hardwood. The high quality of this wood makes it possible to produce large one-piece segments for table tops. Its colour and characteristics are similar to those of teak. Extremis works with suppliers who have their own timber concessions and supply only the best quality Iroko hardwood. Continuous monitoring throughout the chain of custody guarantees sustainable exploitation. Like all wood, Iroko gradually becomes rough and greyish due to exposure to sun and rain; small cracks and fissures may also appear as part of this development. Extremis strongly recommends treating the furniture annually with a wood preservative. The natural oil protects the wood from moisture and spills, making it more stable over time and keeping stains to a minimum.

Extremis Hellwood: European ash wood that has been through purgatory to arm it against all kinds of hellish trials. And there are more than enough of them: UV rays, rain and acid rain, fluctuations in humidity, frost, extreme heat, etc. The Extremis preservation process gives the fibres greater internal stability and increases their resistance to decay. This results in a type of wood that belongs to durability class I, just like the best tropical wood.
An interesting side effect of the process is the dark colour of the wood. Like all wood, Hellwood gradually becomes rough and greyish due to exposure to sun and rain; small cracks and fissures can also appear as part of this evolution. Extremis strongly recommends treating furniture annually with a wood preservative solution. The natural oil protects the wood from moisture and spills, making it more stable over time and keeping stains superficial.

* PEFC wood: PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an international NGO that promotes the protection and sustainable management of forests throughout the world. Created in 1999 and present in nearly 50 countries, this certification is the leading source of certified wood in the world.
