VNA | Wooden chair

The VNA CHAIR is a Stabelle, a plank chair inspired by traditional Alpine craftsmanship.

Its name refers to a small mountain village in the Engadine, where designer Florian Hauswirth and Zeitraum initiated the project. In the past, everyday objects in these regions were made by local craftsmen or skilled farmers using locally available materials. Tables and chairs were designed to be simple and robust, assembled from planks and uprights and sometimes decorated with carved motifs.

The Alpenraum collection continues this tradition, but with a modern approach. Thanks to high-precision manufacturing using CNC technology, it preserves the aesthetics of craftsmanship while offering impeccable quality. The construction emphasises the visible assembly, superimposition and interlocking of the elements. The soft, contrasting contours emphasise the texture of the wood and contribute to a harmonious silhouette. In this way, the authenticity of manual work is transposed into controlled industrial production, anchoring this chair in a timeless modernity.
