Stock Table

Based on the most basic of steel pieces, MSDS studio has created a small architectural side table. The stock table displays the metal in a raw, deconstructed manner, while maintaining a delicate, rigid quality. The unconventional arrangement of the table's legs highlights the strength of the material and offers an interesting composition of elements. The aesthetic negative spaces - the airy cavity under the round tabletop and the triangle between the slanted legs - result from disregarding the traditional table leg arrangement and creating a new form of symmetry. Stock appears as a small, rigorous sculpture that also serves as a practical and stable side table.
