For their wide armchair, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec use an extremely hard-wearing, custom-knit textile, which is threaded like a stocking onto the structure of the armchair, hugging its shape perfectly. This jersey upholstery gives the Slow Chair a truly ergonomic, pleasant and plush seating comfort, which is enhanced by the thin seat and back cushions.
The slightly transparent upholstery fabric replaces the thick padding of traditional armchairs, making this generously-sized chair extremely light. The Slow Chair is suitable for living rooms and conservatories thanks to its discreet presence, while offering exceptional comfort.
Structure/upholstery: tubular steel frame, covered with extremely strong textile, custom knitted and slipped over the frame.
Upholstery: polyurethane foam and polyester fibre, including one seat cushion and two back cushions.
Seat height: 330 mm (230 mm with applied load, measured in accordance with EN 1335-1).
Legs: Die-cast aluminium legs, polished or powder-coated.
Glides: all legs are equipped with glides for carpets; felt glides for hard floors available as an option".
