Designed in 1968 by the Italian architect, sculptor and designer Angelo Mangiarotti, and reissued by Karakter in collaboration with Cassina, Sfera is distinguished by its mouth-blown glass sphere resting on a chrome-plated steel frame. Its omnidirectional diffused light highlights the volume of the glass while creating soft, even illumination.

A leading figure of Italian design, Angelo Mangiarotti developed a body of work that combined structural precision with formal purity. Reissued for the first time, Sfera brings back one of his iconic creations while preserving its distinctive character.
