Designed by Italian master Tobia Scarpa, the Seki-Han S pendant lamp is the 2025 reissue of an iconic model first created in 1963.

This suspended version extends the designer's original vision, combining noble materials and structural simplicity in a composition of absolute elegance. Every element—from the pivoting ash blades to the chrome metal finishes—expresses Scarpa's quest for harmony between craftsmanship, light and emotion.

Inspired by naval techniques, Seki-Han S consists of two thin horizontal ash wood blades connected by chrome-plated metal fittings, pivoting around a central tubular light source. This ingenious construction allows the light to be modulated according to the opening of the blades, from a diffused beam to a more concentrated halo, delicately revealing the texture of the wood.

The pendant version captures the poetic spirit of the original floor lamp while offering an airy and graphic presence. It diffuses light that is both direct and indirect, symmetrical and asymmetrical, creating a warm and sculptural atmosphere.

Named after a traditional Japanese dish symbolising celebration, Seki-Han evokes the subtle balance between the immateriality of light and the materiality of wood — a timeless piece designed for contemporary interiors and refined spaces.
