Designed by the Italian master Tobia Scarpa, the Seki-Han floor lamp is the 2025 reissue of an iconic model originally created in 1963.
This piece reflects Scarpa’s unique sensitivity to noble materials and essential forms, where every detail — from the rotation of the ash wood blades to the reflections of the chrome metal — expresses his pursuit of harmony between craftsmanship, light, and emotion.
Inspired by naval techniques, Seki-Han combines two fine vertical blades of ash wood joined by chrome-plated metal fittings that pivot around a central tubular light source. This poetic structure allows for light modulation, from a soft diffused beam to a more intimate halo, while highlighting the tactile beauty of the wood.
Named after a traditional Japanese dish served on special occasions, Seki-Han embodies a presence both subtle and vivid — the encounter between the immateriality of light and the warmth of wood, between heritage and modernity. Ideal for refined contemporary interiors, it stands as a luminous and emotional work of art.
