The Pier System, designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for HAY, is a modular storage system designed to meet the needs of contemporary spaces thanks to its lightweight, robust and fully scalable construction. Its lightweight aluminium and steel structure combines strength and simplicity, while maintaining a refined visual expression.
The 131 | 1 configuration, one of many possible combinations within the collection, consists of a single column incorporating three shelves and a box, offering a compact balance between open storage and closed space. This vertical dimension allows for easy integration into a living room, hallway, office or any space requiring a functional and discreet solution.
Like all versions of the Pier System, this configuration can be added to or reconfigured over time to keep pace with changing needs, making this system a sustainable, flexible and resolutely contemporary choice — true to the Bouroullec brothers' vision.
